A 49-year-old woman has died following a collision between her car and another last night.
The crash occurred between 23.30 p.m. and midnight at Ballinamucka, Loughrea, Co Galway.
The woman died en route to University College Hospital, Galway.
The passenger in the car she was driving, a man in his twenties, received medical attention for minor injuries.
The driver of the other car was uninjured.
Gardai at Gort are investigating.
