A 59-year-old woman has died in hospital after being struck by a car in north Belfast on Wednesday afternoon, police said today…

A 59-year-old woman has died in hospital after being struck by a car in north Belfast on Wednesday afternoon, police said today.

She was hit by a grey Renault car at the junction of the Shankill Road and Crimea Street and was taken to hospital where her condition deteriorated.

Several witnesses contacted police but officers believe there are more who could help. They appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
