A woman in her 30s died this morning after giving birth at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee.
The HSE has confirmed it will undertake a full review of the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
The coroner has been called and a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
The baby is reported to be in a serious condition.
