Woman dies after Dublin fire

A woman has died following a fire at a house in Sutton in north Dublin last night.

A woman has died following a fire at a house in Sutton in north Dublin last night.

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade went to the scene of the fire at Offington Lawn at about 11.00pm and took the injured woman, who is understood to be in her 60s, from the dormer bungalow

She was treated at the scene before being transferred to Beaumont hospital in a critical condition, where she died early this morning.

Gardai have sealed off the scene pending a technical examination to establish the cause of the fire.

A post mortem on the woman will be carried out later today.
