A woman (33) has died in hospital following a suspicious fire at a flat in Northern Ireland yesterday evening.
A man who was also in the first floor flat on Oriel Drive in Downpatrick when the fire started managed to escape. He was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation.
Police sealed off the area overnight while investigations continued.
Detectives confirmed they were treating the blaze, which is understood to have started in the flat, as suspicious. They appealed for witnesses to come forward.
