A woman appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court on Saturday night charged with assaulting a French teenager who had part of her ear bitten off. The 17-year-old language student was injured on Thursday.
Ms Louise McDonnell (19), of Grange Way, Pine Croft, Douglas, was charged under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997, and released on bail to appear before the court again tomorrow.
