A 19-year-old Australian waitress was remanded in custody today by magistrates in Britain on charges of making a hoax bomb call to an airline.

Ms Angela Sceats, of Islington, north London, is accused of falsely claiming that there was a bomb on Ryanair flight 810 from Dublin to Stansted yesterday.

Sceats spoke only to enter a not guilty plea and confirm her personal details at a hearing before magistrates in Harlow, Essex.

Her case is scheduled to be heard again at the same court on Monday.
