Woman accused of hostel arson

A woman was charged yesterday with starting a fire at a hostel in Belfast while 15 adults and children were asleep.

A woman was charged yesterday with starting a fire at a hostel in Belfast while 15 adults and children were asleep.

No one was injured in the fire at Clifton Park Avenue last August after a window was smashed and flammable liquid set alight.

Geraldine McAllister (25), of Rosapenna Street, Belfast, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court on a charge of arson and was remanded in custody until May 6th. Her solicitor said an application for bail would be made in the High

Court tomorrow.
