A carer qualified in first aid has been accused of risking the life of her son’s girlfriend by failing to get her urgent medical attention after she was attacked in her south Dublin home.

Nicola Murray sustained head injuries during an incident in her house in Reuben Walk, Rialto, Dublin, early on February 5th. Ms Murray (28), a mother of three, was found by her family in her bedroom, and rushed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.

Paul McMenamy (26), Donomore Green, Tallaght, was charged earlier with assault causing harm to Ms Murray. Yesterday his mother, Geraldine McMenamy (45), was brought before Dublin District Court accused of endangering Ms Murray’s life by failing to seek urgent medical attention for her.
