Woman (85) dies fighting fire

An 85 year old woman died in a fire at her home in Co Tyrone yesterday. Mrs Catherine Doris was trying to beat out the blaze in her living room at Annaghmore Lane, Ardboe, when she was overcome by smoke. Her son arrived on the scene and dragged her outside but could not save her. Police and firefighters are trying to establish the cause of the fire.
