Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a female cyclist and an articulated lorry in the city centre this morning.

The woman, in her mid 20s, sustained serious injuries in the collision.

She was taken by Ambulance to St James Hospital where she is currently being treated for serious leg injuries.

The incident happened shortly after 7.20am at the junction of Winetavern Street and Wood Quay.
