Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for witnesses to come forward after car hi-jackers stabbed a man during an attack near Belfast last night.

The victim, aged 23, was getting into his vehicle at the Kingsway shopping centre in Dunmurry, Co Antrim, when he was approached by a man who demanded his car.

Police said he was stabbed in the leg and the knee before the thief drove off.

Detectives investigating the knifing have urged any witnesses to come forward.
