Washington - The White House has turned over to congressional investigators previously unknown videotapes of some of President Bill Clinton's controversial coffees with campaign donors, Time magazine said yesterday.

The tapes record dozens of coffees which Mr Clinton hosted in the White House with big contributors in 1995 and 1996, the weekly news magazine reported in its October 13th edition. The tapes could clarify whether the private events were merely opportunities for the President to swap opinions and viewpoints with guests, as Democrats have said, or possibly illegal fund-raisers.
