A Co Wexford writer, Ms Claire Keegan, won the first Martin Healy Short Story Award in Sligo yesterday. Ms Keegan was presented with a £1,000 cheque. Ms Keegan won the RTE Francis McManus Award in 1996, and the William Trevor Prize this year.
