London - Police officers yesterday condemned plans to make a TV film about the Cromwell Street murders based on taped interviews with mass killer Fred West.

Channel 5 has commissioned a draft script from London-based Portman Entertainment Group for a four-part drama documentary based on the tapes.

Meanwhile, a cousin of West's was yesterday jailed for four years for a string of sex attacks on three teenage girls. William John Hill (45) was convicted at Birmingham Crown Court on one count of rape and three counts of indecent assault against three schoolgirls.
