A Welsh man whose car was in collision with another car in which two people died was charged with dangerous driving at Sligo District Court yesterday.

Mr Martin Francis Towey (58), of 52 Affordd Cynan, Wrexham, was remanded on bail to Grange District Court on October 3rd.

Edward McManus (69) and his wife, Vera, (59) from Enfield, Co Meath, were killed in the collision involving three cars at Moneygold on the Sligo-Bundoran road last Saturday. Seven other people were injured.
