Edinburgh - Breakaway ministers locked horns with the Free Church of Scotland yesterday after they were threatened with eviction from their homes.

Leaders of the "Wee Frees", a Presbyterian Church smaller than the established Church of Scotland, said they hoped the civil war in their ranks would end after 31 men walked out when they were accused of breaking church

law. The dissidents, who have declared they are now the "true Free Church", face losing their homes and church buildings.
