Weather hampers search for man

The search for man missing in Co Kerry since Wednesday has been cancelled for the day due to bad weather.

The 25-year-old was last seen leaving his home in Tralee, Co Kerry, on Wednesday.

His car was discovered in a car park near Slea Head in Dingle peninsula on Friday and gardaí and rescue teams launched a full-scale search operation.

The man’s family will carry out a land-based search today.

A spokesman for the coast guard said a helicopter en route to a demonstration in Ardfert in Co Kerry will also pass over Slea Head for a quick search of the area.

The search will continue tomorrow weather permitting.
