Steps have been made towards a compromise over the removal by the National Roads Authority of several signs to various tourist locations in Co Clare.

This follows the NRA statement that the erection of dedicated information directory signs side by side with existing road signs “sounds like a very reasonable solution” to the issue. Earlier this week, the NRA came under fire for removing a signpost in Ballyvaughan used by Tourism Ireland.
