A sheet-metal firm based in Waterford is to lay off 17 people as part of a cost-cutting programme.
Frentech Engineering produces metal components used in manufacturing. The company blamed tougher competition from overseas producers for the decision.
Founded by local businessman Bill Curtin, Frentech employs 48 people in Waterford.
