A BRITISH businessman has paid more than £1

A BRITISH businessman has paid more than £1.7 million for Fort William, a distinctive Georgian house on 392 acres near Lismore, Co Waterford. It was once owned by the Duke of Westminster.

The estate was to have been sold by tender but was knocked down to the new owner at a private auction conducted by Hamilton Osborne King.
