Warrant issued in hunt charges case

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Englishman wanted on charges arising from an anti hunt protest last weekend

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Englishman wanted on charges arising from an anti hunt protest last weekend. The man was arrested during a protest at a meeting of the Waterford Hunt on Saturday.

The warrant was issued when Mr Richard Russell, of Balsall Heath, Birmingham, failed to appear at Waterford District, Court yesterday, Mr Russell is charged that on January 25th, at Ross, Kilmeaden, he had in a public place, articles intended to unlawfully injure, incapacitate or intimidate.
