A Limerick man who won a holiday to Ballybunion, Co Kerry, may find his trip cut short after a judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest yesterday.

Mr Stephen Ring (32), Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, was on holiday when he was due to appear in the Limerick District Court to answer charges of larceny and criminal damage.

His solicitor told the court his client had won the break in a competition. Judge Michael Reilly was unimpressed and issued a bench warrant for Mr Ring's arrest.
