THE HAGUE - The UN war crimes tribunal began hearings yesterday against Mr Milan Martic, a former Croatian Serb separatist leader blamed for the shelling of Zagreb last May that killed several people. Mr Martic's whereabouts are unknown and he was not represented at the tribunal.
