The Green Party in Clare has urged county councillors to vote against proposals for the provision of Burren visitor facilities at Mullaghmore. They are due for consideration at a meeting next month of Clare County Council. A party spokesman said the proposals were not in keeping with the policy of sustainable tourism outlined in a Government document in April.
