A man visiting Dublin is alleged to have sexually assaulted another male guest at a guesthouse in the city where he was staying earlier this month.

The accused man, who lives in London, was refused bail at Dublin District Court yesterday and was remanded in continuing custody for one week pending direction from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The alleged victim, who was also from abroad, was staying at the guesthouse with his wife.
