Bristol - Police in riot gear were called in last night to protect a police station as a peaceful protest over the child sex killer, Sidney Cooke (71), turned to violence.About a dozen police with small riot shields and protective clothing moved in to protect the main entrances of the Broadbury Road Station in the heart of the Knowle West area of Bristol after bottles and stones were thrown at the two-storey building.
