An urgent summer appeal for funding was launched yesterday by the Society for St Vincent de Paul, which needs £300,000 a week to meet growing demands on its resources. The "Summer Bonnets" appeal will take place from June 17th to 22nd and aims to raise £400,000 to keep the society's services up to their current level.
