LONDON - Alan Downes, a British cameraman who filmed one of the most famous images of the Vietnam War, died of cancer yesterday aged 58.

Mr Downes shot the footage of the US bombing of a village on Highway One in South Vietnam and a little girl, Kim Phuc, burnt by napalm running down the road.
