Victim tells court of severe beating

A victim of an assault has told a court that his attackers beat him until “there was no life left in me”.

A victim of an assault has told a court that his attackers beat him until “there was no life left in me”.

Emma O’Brien (29), Old Connaught View, Bray, Co Wicklow, and her brother Wesley O’Brien (23), Ashlawn Court, Bray, have pleaded not guilty to assault causing harm, possession of a hatchet with intent to cause serious injury and violent disorder.

The court was told the offences were at the home of the complainant, Michael Connors, on March 14th, 2009. Mr Connors said he could identify both accused as being among his attackers as he knew them all their lives.
