A 19-year-old man who was assaulted in Ballymun flats on Monday morning has died in hospital.
The victim was attacked shortly before 3 a.m. on Monday at a block of flats on Coultry Road. He died today in the Mater Hospital. His body will be moved to the City Morgue at Marino for post mortem.
His name will not be released until all next of kin have been informed.
An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon.
He appeared before the Dublin District Court today in connection with the attack.
A Garda spokesman said a decision was yet to be taken whether the man would now face different charges.
