The Vatican has confirmed that Pope Benedict will visit Turkey at the end of November.
The trip from November 28th to December 1st will be the pontiff's first to a predominantly Muslim country and had been put into doubt by Muslim anger over controversial comments he made about Islam.

The visit will take in the cities of Ankara, Istanbul, Ephesus and Izmir, the Vatican said today.
