SALT LAKE CITY The convicted child killer, John Albert Taylor, will face a five man firing squad at midnight (9 a.m. Irish time) tonight, the first to do so in the US since Gary Gilmore in 1977. Taylor (36), sentenced to death for the 1989 drape and murder of 11 year old Charla King, charges which he denies, has opted to die by firing squad rather than seek any further appeals.
