US soldiers blamed over gold

Munich - Hundreds of bars of Nazi gold disappeared in 1945 after US forces found it buried on a mountain in southern Germany, according to a Sueddeutsche Zeitung report yesterday. Although admitting the exact fate of the 365 gold bars, and possibly also gold teeth extracted from Jews in the Nazi death camps, would probably never be cleared up, it pointed the finger firmly at US troops. x
