WASHINGTON - The United States has decided to delay a sale of F-16 fighters to Indonesia because of human rights concerns, but hopes to go ahead with it early next year, a State Department spokesman said yesterday.

The US has been hoping to sell to Indonesia nine F-16s out of a batch of 28 originally sold to Pakistan.
