US official arrested as Cuba spy

Miami - A senior US immigration official who came to the US from Cuba 40 years ago was arrested on charges of spying for Cuba's Communist government, the FBI announced yesterday. Mr Mariano Faget (54) was arrested as part of an FBI sting operation, "False Blue". "He was meeting with Cuban intelligence officers in Miami and other cities in the United States and passing sensitive classified immigration information to them," an FBI spokesman said.
