US industrial management consultancy Parsons has announced it has acquired Cork firm MW Consultants (MWC).
MWC is a privately held firm that provides project management, engineering, and construction services to the pharmaceutical industry.
It will be part of Parsons Commercial Technology Group, which provides program management, design, procurement and construction management services for the pharmaceutical sector.
MWC and Parsons have worked together in Ireland for several years on several projects.
In a statement this morning, Parsons said the acquisition was part of its strategy to expand its capabilities and geographic reach in the pharmaceutical and biotechnologies infrastructure.
No details of the financial arrangements were released.
