Medical devices firm Kinetic Concepts Medical is to create 250 new jobs in Athlone as part of an IDA supported expansion.
The firm, which already has an operation in Athlone and service centres in Dublin and Cork, manufactures mattress replacement systems and hospital beds to prevent ulcers and employs 6,000 people worldwide.
The Athlone jobs are to be created over the next five years.
