DUBLIN - A protest demonstration against US death penalties took place yesterday on Independence Day at the US Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin, writes Jacinta Ryan.
The demonstration was called by the Irish Mexico Group, the Workers' Solidarity Movement and the Anti-Racist Campaign, with the support of the Seanad candidate Ms Ivana Bacik and the Green Party MEP Ms Patricia McKenna.
