Network solutions provider Vallent Technologies said today it will create 20 R&D jobs in Cork and Galway as part of its expansion.

Vallent, which merged with WatchMark-Comnitel and Metrica Software Systems in November 2004, said its expects strengthening demand for its services.

"Our telecommunication service provider customers worldwide are experiencing tremendous challenges as they evolve to next generation networks delivering complex multimedia services"," said chief technology officer Kieran Moynihan.

Vallent is based in Bellevue, Washington, and has offices across the United Kingdom and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
