CAPE TOWN - The South African Nobel peace laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, said yesterday his prostate cancer appeared to have spread and he would go to the United States for radiation therapy.

Archbishop Tutu, a leading campaigner in the fight against apartheid, had most of his prostate removed in January when the gland was diagnosed as cancerous.
