LONDON - A report backed by the UN predicts that mankind will become a predominantly urban dwelling species for the first time by the end of the century, according to the Independent on Sunday newspaper. The report, to be published this week, is quoted as saying that in 1975, only one third of humanity lived in cities, but by the year 2025, the proportion will be two thirds.
