A woman caught selling untaxed cigarettes in Dublin city centre received a suspended sentence of six months yesterday

A woman caught selling untaxed cigarettes in Dublin city centre received a suspended sentence of six months yesterday. Michelle Grouse of Ormond Square, Dublin, was charged in the District Court with having 100 grammes of tobacco in O'Connell Street on August 27th. Judge Gerard Haughton imposed the suspended sentence after hearing the defendant had seven previous convictions. He bound her to the peace for two years.
