SALT LAKE CITY - A group of US state governors has pledged to establish the first major educational institution on the Internet.
Backed by 10 western states, the new university will allow people to study for degrees from their own homes or workplaces, downloading assignments and lectures from the Internet and submitting their own work by e-mail.
