Drug distributor United Drug has bought British vaccine specialist Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad (MASTA) for up to £19 million.
MASTA specialises in travel health and the sale and distribution of vaccines, medical information and clinical services.
United Drug will pay an initial £14.5 million in cash, plus a possible £4.5 million in performance related payments over the next two years.
The company also announced that it has bought 25 per cent of the Medicare Group, a healthcare and retail organisation based in Northern Ireland, for an undisclosed sum.
