A Unionist councillor, Ms Liz Johnston, has been elected mayor of Coleraine Borough Council. Ms Barbara Dempsey of Alliance will be her deputy.
And the neighbouring Limavady Borough elected Ulster Unionist Mr Ronnie Cartwright unopposed as mayor.
