RABAT - The UN special envoy for Western Sahara, Mr James Baker, arrived in Morocco yesterday to start a fact finding mission to the disputed territory.

The former US Secretary of State was appointed by the UN Secretary General, Mr Kofi Annan, last month to try to resolve the dispute over the former Spanish colony. It is claimed by Morocco, while the Algerian backed Polisario Front seeks independence there.
