GENEVA - The top UN officer for human rights expressed deep concern yesterday over Burma's reported detention and arrest of opposition party members.

Mr Ralph Zacklin, interim UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, called on the military junta government to "respect fully international norms of human rights and principles".
