Kampala - Warplanes from Congo have attacked Bukaka, a western Ugandan border village, but the bombs fell wide and caused no harm, according to local officials in the Ugandan town of Bundibugyo.

Military sources told the state-owned newspaper New Vision that Ugandan troops fired at the planes, which flew back into Congo airspace after the attack.
