UCD plans earlier scholarships

University College Dublin has announced a new entrance scholarship scheme to be offered to students in September. The university expects to award about 60 £1,000 scholarships. Previously, students received entrance scholarships only after the academic term had started. The new scheme will involve paying students at the outset of term.
